Today, November 17, is National Take a Hike Day — something I only realized sometime in the past year. My two previous hikes on this date, to Hackberry Spring (2014) and Smith Brothers Mine (2016), were just by coincidence. From now on, I’ll make it a point to get my fat ass out for something more than a spin around my neighborhood. 😁
