The King Asshole should be whoever it is who decided to escort three fugitives, two of them wanted for murder, one of whom is 6’5″, 265 lbs., with only two — TWO! — guards. Both of them unarmed. One of them a woman. Christ. Two weeks later, Blane & Susan Barksdale were still at large!
The Barksdales were captured by U.S. Marshalls in Punkin Center, on the shore of Roosevelt Lake, five days after I wrote that. 👮🏻♂️👍
