I call myself out when I make mistakes, but unfortunately multi-hour trips several days in a row meant the dashcam footage was overwritten for the speeding ticket I received on May 11: I was heading north on the Black Canyon Freeway, in the 65 zone north of Deer Valley Road. I was doing 82, and stupid me sped up and moved right to pass some guy doing 77. Got lit up. Pulled over. Officer very polite, told me what I did. No sense arguing: I did exactly what he said. Options are justice court, paying the fine by mail, or taking a drivers course. I chose Door #3. Online. What a pain. I think I’d rather do time in Florence …
