I try to hike all over Arizona, but it’s a big state with a lack of direct, high speed, roads. Since I don’t camp — I had enough “camping” in the Army — and my cats like being fed before midnight, I’m limited to hiking / biking within a four hour drive of my home in Phoenix. That’s why such a large part of my summer is on the relatively cool heights of the Mogollon Rim.
