About 115 soldiers from U.S. Army Special Operations Command reserve component units have deployed to the European theater in support of NATO Implementation Force in Bosnia.
More than 100 of those are psychological operations and civil affairs soldiers from Army Reserve units throughout the United States. Additionally, soldiers from the Army National Guard’s 20th Special Forces Group (Airborne) are among the soldiers deployed.
USASOC has deployed more than 575 active-duty soldiers in support of Operation Joint Endeavor. About 265 of them are from Fort Bragg based units.
They represent Special Forces, civil affairs, psychological operations, signal, support, and special operations aviation specialties.
