Some people may think my complaints about the mail are exagerrated whining. I assure you, they were not. The anecdotal evidence:

The daughter of a friend wrote me four times, and I didn't get a single letter. My father wrote me every week and I only got one or two of his letters. My mother had letters from two of my friends waiting for me when I arrived back in Green Bay. The letters had made it all the way to Bosnia, then been returned as "undeliverable". The day I returned to work, on April 15, a lady there handed me a letter she had sent me. It too had been returned as "undeliverable". The statistical evidence:
